I completed all of the assigned tasks:

I read the assigned articles, readings; viewed the assigned videos and made my initial post within Diigo. I signed up for Padlet and got the extension for my Wordpress account.

This looks like a nice Web 2.0 tool!

In reflecting on chapter 2 of the textbook, I can see that I an utilize a number of Lynell Burmark's suggestions into my presentations, such as the online handout. I too have made the

mistake of handing out lengthy pages of what amounted to a copy of my presentation. On occasion, I was told that this process was expensive, but I wanted my audience to have

access to all the information I was imparting. In other words, I can relate so well to what is within this chapter!

In summarizing the chapter "Creating Slides and handouts", Lynell Burmark explains that there is a purpose to the slides, and therefore what should be on them - color, photos and images.

This purpose when implemented, helps to substantially boost recall and transfer of the presentation.

The purpose of the handout is to "complement rather than duplicate the presentation." Burmark also details suggestions as to length and scope of these elements.
